Announcement

Audio Visual and Classroom Support
Affects systems: other,

As previously announced via email and the Classroom Technology Support (CTS) web site, as of July 1st 2009 A/V technicians can no longer be reserved to remain through an entire event or class.

In addition, the older Audio Visual reservation form has been removed, and all reservations for rooms and equipment must be made through the Resource 25 WebViewer program.

To help anyone that will be using the rooms, we have detailed information and training available for Audio Visual equipment:

If you require hands on training on the AV equipment, please email 5help@columbia.edu with your contact information and if desired the specific room you will be using. Please request training as far in advance as possible.

Outside vendors may be used if you will need an A/V technician to remain for an entire course or event and assist with equipment. Please see the full announcement on the CTS Audio Visual Support page for more details.

A/V technicians will only able to provide audio/visual support for events specifically related to academic courses in CTS managed rooms. This includes initial set up of special equipment if needed and any technical issues that may arise in these rooms during the course or event. Anyone using a CTS managed room (those that can be reserved through the WebViewer) is expected to be able to use the equipment, or have a TA that is familiar with equipment for assistance.
